10 Video Game Choices That Seem Important (But Are Actually POINTLESS)

3. Saving Harvey Dent - Batman: The Telltale Series

Telltale games are pretty awful when it comes to making your choices "actually matter," as the previous example has already shown. However, there is one even worse case of Telltale giving your agency over the story a big middle finger—the studio's Batman series.

One of the most intense choices in the game is when Bruce Wayne has to decide between saving Selina or Harvey Dent from danger.

If you pick Selina, Harvey will get half of his face burned off, prompting his transformation into his villain persona, Two-Face. On the other hand, if you save him, you can prevent him from getting his iconic scars, which might make you think you've just prevented Harvey from becoming a villain.

After all, the scars are what makes Bruce's lawyer friend go insane in the comics, right? It only makes sense he wouldn't turn evil without them...

Well, no. It turns out even if you stop Harvey's villain origin story, the man turns into Two-Face anyway. All the dialogue and references later in the game are the same. The only difference is that, visually, Two-face is suspiciously one-faced.

Now that's just lazy!
