10 Video Game Console Features NOBODY Used
2. Save File Recovery - PlayStation 1
Get ready to have your mind blown.
Just recently, YouTuber John Glasscock shocked PlayStation fans when he revealed a PS1 design secret that's largely laid dormant for more than 25 years - the console's hidden save recovery facility.
Most of us will have traumatic memories of accidentally deleting the wrong save on a memory card and losing hours, even days of progress, with seemingly no way of bringing that data back from the digital abyss.
But alas, Glasscock dropped jaws by showing players how they could rescue deleted saves simply by pressing all four of the controller's shoulder buttons at the same time, effectively serving as an undo command.
What makes this truly baffling is the fact that Sony didn't mention it anywhere in the console's documentation despite it clearly being a hugely useful piece of information.
And so, through sheer ignorance alone, we were all none-the-wiser when we deleted our late-game Final Fantasy VII saves. It's probably best not to think of all that time needlessly wasted.
