10 Video Game Crossovers That Should Happen

1. Bioshock - Uncharted

bioshock uncharte At first glance these two games do not seem at all similar or even remotely possibly of a crossover. However I don€™t simply envision a merging of ideas or in-game mechanics for this title, I mean a full-blown crossover of the two franchises. That might seem crazy but hear me out. My reason for this idea is pretty straightforward but I€™ll give a quick rundown. Sully approaches Drake and Elena with a proposition; someone he knows has found the traces of something big, something that could make them unimaginably rich and famous. Drake reluctantly agrees to go with him but Elena stays at home. Drake and Sully reconvene with Vic€™s friend and what he tells them is that he believes he knows the location of Atlantis. From here things get very complicated and dangerous because others are vying for this information. The story would go from wherever Sully€™s friend is back to Drake€™s house to get Elena and set out for the so-called Atlantis. Along with some new characters that would aid their travels because, it goes without saying, the three characters couldn€™t get to Rapture without some professional help. Eventually, after much planning, resourcing and favour-pulling they reach their destination, only to discover it€™s actually a more modern city that seems to have been built underwater, not sank. That city is, of course Rapture. Now not only would Drake and co have to deal with the mercenaries who€™re also after this location but they€™d also have to deal with some really crazy locals from Rapture. This is a really quick, glossed-over idea for a story but it shows how simple it would be to combine the two and how easily they would fit together. Imagine the marketing and merchandise possibilities as well as the amount of money this would probably make. One major problem of a game like this is that it would be uncharacteristically dark for the Uncharted series; rapture isn€™t exactly a welcoming place full of colour and humour opportunities. That being said the start of the game could provide enough comedy and easy-going moments that the rest could be filled with the dank despair that is Rapture. However there could still be some humour with little throwbacks to Bioshock with moments like Drake discovering a Big Daddy outfit and trying on the helmet or Sully seeing a picture of Ryan and saying €˜nice moustache€™. The gameplay and aesthetic of such a game would simply be that of Uncharted as this is more of an Uncharted game set in Rapture with an intertwining story. Sure we€™ve already had the story of Rapture and more but I don€™t think anyone would care if we got some more. With Drake and co they would retrace some of the steps we had to in the first two games, like finding the Big Daddy and Big Sister outfits and going to Andrew Ryan€™s office. Plus the first time the characters see Rapture would give Sully his biggest ever €œGod -Damn€ moment. I know there isn€™t a snowballs chance in hell of this happening, least of all because Uncharted is a Playstation exclusive and it€™d have to be another exclusive for the PS, but one can dream. Maybe I€™m the only one who thinks this is a great idea but that€™s what comment sections are for. Drake, Sully and Elena running around Rapture, uncovering its horrific past and trying to escape with their lives, is a game I would be thrilled to experience. Like/dislike my ideas? What games do you think would make good crossovers? There are obviously countless more ideas that could be generated and we€™d like to hear €˜em!
