10 Video Game Difficulty Modes That Are Utterly BROKEN
7. Unbeatable Drivatar Difficulty - Forza Horizon 5
Make no mistake, Forza Horizon 5 is a freakin' amazing game, and quite arguably one of the greatest racing games of all time.
It refreshingly offers up granular gameplay options to help players tailor the experience to their desired level of difficulty, though those who pick Unbeatable difficulty, the highest setting for their AI rivals (aka Drivatars), will have a nasty surprise lying in wait.
Within hours of the game's release, fans took to social media to protest the patently unfair "skills" of Unbeatable Drivatars, who beyond the rubber-banding expected from just about any racing game, are able to break the laws of physics to take corners and manoeuvre around the track in ways the player simply can't.
The Unbeatable Drivatars have always been tricky - hence the name - but Forza Horizon 5 makes little attempt to disguise how blatantly the AI is "cheating." As a result, players can play near-perfectly and still come up massively short.
If an Unbeatable AI is truly unbeatable, then is there really much point?
