10 Video Game DLCs Better Than The Game
1. Mask Of The Betrayer - Neverwinter Nights 2
Though Neverwinter Nights 2 was generally well-received by critics, the fan response was decidedly less enthusiastic, with many harbouring outright disdain for the game's generic story, crushingly brutal length, art style, camera, animations, UI, and worst of all its maddening number of glitches.
The Mask of the Betrayer DLC, though? A work of damn beauty by comparison.
Though it's somewhat unavoidably harangued by some of the same technical issues as its predecessor, the story is effortlessly superior - and scarcely connected to the main game, thankfully.
The pacing also rocks and it's got killer dungeon design, all while clocking in at just a fraction of Neverwinter Nights 2's length.
And best of all, you don't need to play the base game first to understand what's going on, so if you don't fancy slogging through an inferior, much longer adventure first, fear not - you can just dive straight into this one.
