A well-thought out ending can really cement a video game as a bonafide classic. After playing through something for anywhere between eight and eighty hours, of course, a solid ending is something that you come to expect; it's an aspect that you hope and pray that the developer has put time and effort into, not something they've come up with in 15 minutes so everyone can shoot off for an early lunch. And whilst there are tons of games out there with great, memorable endings that stay with you long after you're done playing them, there are other games that feature endings that leave you staring at the screen, scratching your head and wondering what the hell it is you just witnessed. Not because they're complex or confusing in a good way, though, but mind-boggling because they just don't make an inch of sense. At all.
