10 Video Game Endings That Made No Sense

3. Alma Rapes Becket - F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

The F.E.A.R. games see players battling a whole host of horrific visions and nightmares as a member of an armed paranormal investigation squad, the worst of which comes in the form of Alma - a young girl with a resemblance to that one from The Ring movies. Whilst F.E.A.R. 2 is a great game for the most part, though, the ending is nuts - it feels a lot like the developers wanted to do something "weird" for the sake of it, and it makes little sense. That's to say, F.E.A.R. 2 ends when Alma suddenly transforms herself into adult form, and then forcibly rapes the main protagonist - that is, Michael Becket - in order to impregnate herself, because... well, there is no real reason, aside from the fact that the makers of the game presumably wanted to end things on a controversial note. The very last scene then has the hero touching Alma's stomach whilst the word "Mommy" is faintly heard. There is no context for this, though, nor is this happening hinted at during any part of the story; it just occurs and the game ends, leaving players wondering what the heck they missed. The answer is nothing... you missed absolutely nothing.
