10 Video Game Endings That Were Saved By Fans
5. Functional Post-Game - Fallout: New Vegas
As fantastic as Fallout: New Vegas is, many players were disappointed to discover that you can't keep playing in the game world once you reach the end of the story, unlike Fallout 3 and 4.
But as is true of basically all Bethesda-published games at this point, fans came in clutch once again.
It wasn't too long before a mod was released which allowed players to keep playing post-credits, though early mods kept players stuck in an instance of the world just before the climax of the game.
In 2019, however, modder kazopert released the "Functional Post-Game Ending" mod, which actually reflects the state of the Wasteland when you roll credits.
Kazopert claimed that he'd "considered nearly everything" with regard to continuity and making this post-game mod accurate to whatever the variables of your own ending were.
Kazport calls it a "proper ending" to the game, and while that could theoretically sound a tad arrogant, the breadth and depth of the mod absolutely justifies that confidence.
