10 Video Game Endings You Weren't Supposed To See

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic's scrapped alternate ending proved tantalising enough that the game's passionate modding community actually patched it back into the game.

Said ending was intended to be accessed by players who portrayed a female Revan with Dark Side leanings and romanced Carth Onasi.

This causes Carth to appear at the end of the game after you've killed Darth Malak and attempt to redeem you, but in the retail version of the game, both options result in Carth's demise.

Yet the cut ending offered an extra choice, to instead kill your partner in crime Bastila and indeed be redeemed. Revan and Carth then remain on the Star Forge as it's obliterated by the Republic. The End.

It's unclear why BioWare denied this genuinely romantic ending to players upon initial release, but as much as they never intended for it to be seen, the game's tireless fans found a way to make it work.
