10 Video Game Endings You Weren't Supposed To See

8. The Kill Screen - Tetris

Now, we're using the term "ending" a teensy bit liberally here given that Tetris doesn't really have an ending - you simply keep going until a block reaches the top of the screen and it's Game Over.

But that basically changed at the end of last year, when 13-year-old streamer BlueScuti became the first human being to reach Tetris' "kill screen" in its 34-year history.

In a 40-minute game, BlueScuti completed an unprecedented 1,511 lines, causing Tetris to reach its technical limit and crash, effectively "beating" it.

The competitive Tetris scene, where players attempt to push both the game and themselves to the brink, is absolutely wild, and given how far they've taken things in recent years, for a 13-year-old to deliver the first unassisted, human-completed kill screen is nothing short of astonishing.

BlueScuti's euphoric reaction to seeing Tetris' "ending" quickly went viral, and in a poignant addendum, he dedicated the win to his late father, who passed away just a week before he carried out the mesmerising feat.
