10 Video Game Endings You Weren't Supposed To See

4. The Dark Urge Becomes A Breeding Slave - Baldur's Gate 3

Tomb Raider Underworld
Larian Studios

Baldur's Gate 3 is an absolutely gigantic game, and so it's little surprise that developer Larian Studios ended up leaving a ton of stuff on the cutting room floor, a good deal of which has nevertheless been datamined.

And by far the most eyebrow-raising thing players have discovered so far? The Dark Urge's cut ending.

The Dark Urge is one of the game's origin characters and spawned from the God of Murder himself, Bhaal, and this scrapped ending would've occurred if the player refuses to take up their father's mantle at the end of the game.

This ending would've had daddy dearest respond in the most reasonable way: Bhaal turns you into a breeding slave, forcing you to have sex with animals in order to create an army of "Bhaalspawn."

Though the ending cutscene mercifully isn't included in the game's files, the accompanying voiceover narration certainly is, rather graphically describing how the Dark Urge is made to "commune with the beasts."

It's nothing if not an ending worthy of Bhaal's evil, though probably a little too close to the line for most players, and so Larian were absolutely sensible to cleave it to the ground.
