10 Video Game Fights You Didn't Know How To End

1. Anubis - Zone Of The Enders

Batman Arkham City Mr Freeze
Konami

Zone of the Enders is a relatively short and straightforward game for the most part, though the final boss fight against Anubis, the superior twin of protagonist Leo's beloved frame Jehuty, is a touch trickier.

Though the pre-fight cutscene makes it clear that you're entirely outmatched by Anubis and even suggests you aren't "destined" to battle the mech yet, that likely only strengthens the player's resolve to take the frame on.

However, the opening moments of the fight make it clear that it's hopeless: Anubis can effortlessly teleport around and evade any attack you throw at it, while dealing huge damage to Jehuty.

On higher difficulty settings, it's easy to get obliterated by Anubis, when the actual solution to ending the fight is to simply survive long enough for Elena to show up and bail you out.

It remains one of the most unexpected and anti-climactic final bosses ever, such that the sequel had to remedy it by finally giving players a legit, no-nonsense showdown with Anubis.
