10 Video Game Franchises Netflix NEEDS To Develop
9. Resident Evil
Whether you love it or not, the Paul W.S Anderson's film series based off the Resident Evil games has finally come to a close. The films were less of a faithful adaptation and more a mashing of characters and story devices, and as time went by the horror element of Resident Evil got replaced by overblown action sequences.
The Walking Dead rules the roost when it comes to zombie thrillers, but while that show has merged into "how gory can we make these zombie kills?" a Resident Evil series could go back to zombie roots and lean into the chilling horror elements.
Think Haunting of Hill House with 90's action heroes, and we might have what could be akin to a well-drawn out Resident Evil series.
Like the games, the series could slowly roll out its sprawling rolodex of characters one season at a time and allow audiences to follow these heroes and villains on their journey through Raccoon City or classic Umbrella facilities.
In between uncovering mysteries and escaping danger, the Resident Evil series could have audiences on the edge of their seats as Tyrants loom round the corner.
Executed correctly, and we might be too scared to play the next episode.
