10 Video Game Franchises Nobody Admits To Liking

What Everyone Says: "You like Sonic? What year is it, 1992?"

On the surface, it sounds absurd that anyone would be ridiculed for enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog, but it's worth remembering that the majority of its appeal stems from the original three titles, and subsequent efforts have been intermittently enjoyable for the most part.

While his main rival Mario continues to hold strong and stave off over-saturation, Sonic's brand has been struggling for years with an abundance of mediocre titles that show a blatant lack of care, having been clearly rushed out the door to meet tight development deadlines.

Admitting that you enjoy Sonic these days is like being that poor, naive girl who keeps forgiving her boyfriend no matter how douchebaggy his behaviour becomes. There's no sympathy from your peers, just pity that you won't let it go.
