10 Video Game Franchises That Need To Die

8. Far Cry

Did you like Far Cry 3? Good, because that's as much as you're gonna get.

Far Cry 3 reinvigorated the franchise, as the first two games did not receive much attention or praise. The third game though was praised for its gameplay and loop of taking down enemy bases, its great villain, and its interesting story and choices.

So Ubisoft decided to follow the definition of insanity, by doing the same thing over and over and over again.

While a few spin-offs tried to experiment, the mainline games have just been the same thing. Have an open-world map, fill it up with enemy bases to have you take down, add in an eccentric villain they can base all of their marketing around, bam, done.

With Far Cry 6 being so painfully more of the same, it seems that fans have officially reached their breaking point, and with the series refusing to change, it's time for it to go.
