10 Video Game Franchises We Really Don't Need More Of

8. Forza Horizon

Assassins Creed Origins
Playground Games

Now, under no circumstances can anyone really criticise the Forza Horizon dynamic - it's a solid formula that deserves a lot of praise. However, there are aspects that certainly can be given the dressing down they really deserve, all things considered.

If you were studying for a degree of some description and were tasked with producing three essays on similar topics; you would at least change the bulk of the content. Well, you would unless you were studying for a degree in working for Playground Games who think it's totally acceptable to release three borderline identical games and charge you £60 each for the privilege.

Whilst each game has grown in map size thanks to different locations, and each game features a different list of available cars, the central premise is the same and the race formats are all the same. Add in the fact the AI behaves in the same way, the driving physics are practically identical from Horizon through to Horizon 3 and you have one lazy set of developers.

Play one, you've played all three. Let's not bother making that four shall we?
