10 Video Game Franchises You Won't Be Seeing For A While

9. Dishonored

If only more people had bought Dishonored 2.

Despite both Dishonored games being absolutely stellar stealth-action games that let you choose what you did and how you did it, you'd be hard-pressed to say that they were a commercial successes.

The original Dishonored managed to drum up enough public interest to get a sequel, but unfortunately Dishonored 2 sold quite poorly.

Following these bad sales, Arkane confirmed that the Dishonored series is "resting right now", which all but confirms that we won't be seeing it for some time.

The Dishonored series going on hold wouldn't be such a bummer if both games weren't so great. Dishonored 2 in particular was a marked improvement on the original game, and certainly deserved more attention.

Of course, one day Dishonored will make a grand return to gaming with even bigger maps and more choices, but for now it looks like we'll have to get our stealth goodness elsewhere.
