10 Video Game Franchises You Won't Be Seeing For A While
7. Five Nights At Freddy's
Five Nights At Freddy's had a hugely successful couple of years that eventually fizzled out into a sort of annoyance.
That's probably for the best. Five Nights at Freddy's became an overnight sensation thanks to some pretty great YouTube coverage, but this also caused the creator to work overtime on making sequels and stuffing them with lore without really meaningfully evolving the gameplay.
Scott Cawthon managed to create six Five Night's games in the span of a couple of years, which is a commendable amount of work. Despite that, the first three games were the only ones that were really very interesting, as the rest of the games dumbed down the scares for more complicated gameplay.
Although there are Five Nights games in development, progress on them isn't very far at all, and if Scott is smart he'll give the series some time to calm down.
Here's hoping this break stays a little longer.
