10 Video Game Heroes Having The WORST Day
3. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
Sam Fisher's already had it rough by the time Conviction eventually rolled around. Saving the world discreetly, stopping a smallpox virus from being released, and killed his traitorous former friend. And that was only by the third game, before the double agent-ness of, uh, Double Agent.
Having dealt with the grief of losing his daughter in that event, Fisher is out of the game. Not literally, obviously, but he's not part of Third Echelon anymore. That would be understandable, right? Let the man grieve and all that.
Turns out, your former boss faked your daughter's death to lure out the insider in your own crack team, which led to you infiltrating the John Brown Alliance one game prior. As far as workplace motivation goes, that's pretty sh*tty.
It's enough to understand why Fisher is having a proper bad day about all of this news. Your own clandestine team playing you like this to get you into a terrorist cell as a double agent, only to rug pull this news on you too.
Can't imagine how well the next workplace appraisal went down...
