10 Video Game Heroes Who Made Everything Worse

6. Link - Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

The last one on our list who was unaware of the damage that would come about by his actions, the entire latter half of Ocarina of Time is lowkey Link's fault.

Ganondorf knew he wouldn't be able to breach the Sacred Realm on his own, so he let this little kid who was running around solving folk's problems do it for him. Once Link did, however, Ganondorf swooped in and took the Sacred Realm for himself, leaving Link magically comatose for the next seven years.

While not really his fault, at least not to the extent of our final five entries, Link's single-minded determination to get the Master Sword and enter the Sacred Realm left him utterly unprepared for Ganondorf's trickery, leading to the demon king subjugating all of Hyrule (or judging by the graphics of the game, just Castle Town and a bit of the surrounding countryside cause, like, everything else looks just fine).

Few other versions of Ganondorf would display such guile, which is probably why we still remember Ocarina's otherwise bland version to this day.
