10 Video Game Levels We Hate

6. Shenmue - Forklift "Fun"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnqHdwkngjU Another game we're positively in love with, but can't entirely forgive for this dreadfully padded, plodding section, taking place in Disc 3 of the masterful Dreamcast epic, Shenmue. Now, Shenmue is already a fairly methodical, slow-burn of a game, but to throw this filler in on top of all that? Really? While plenty of the game's sections don't have you doing a whole lot, they at least immerse you in this vast, sprawling world, but the portion in which Ryo gets a job at the docks, and you have to spend a sizeable amount of time racing forklifts, does absolutely nothing to help draw us into the game... The races are easy, but what really frustrates is how freaking long they are, and at the end of it, you don't even get anything particularly memorable; just a useless trinket. At least they should have made it worthwhile in the end; link in a plot development or have one of the dock workers actually relate to the plot, but no.
