10 Video Game Moments That Made You Cry Like A Baby

1. Metal Gear Solid 3 - The Boss's True Purpose

For the number one spot it's that moment that made us want to go hug someone, or at least dive online to make sure we weren't the only ones who had gotten through a box of tissues. The majesty of Hideo Kojima's storytelling in MGS3 has made it one of - if not the - finest entries in the franchise overall, with one of the greatest rug-pulls there's ever been in terms of final plot-twists topping it all off. That being - in summary - The Boss' final mission to die by Snake's hand, taking all the blame both from America and Russia for the nuclear blast one evil Colonel Volgin had set off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEBSp-fkNog We do get more backstory in the final pre-fight monologue where we find out far more about Boss's history, but it's Eva's over-voice that slowly cracks as she's overwhelmed with emotion, telling you about how the events will only be remembered positively by you that hammers everything home. From the score that plays underneath and the huge rush of information you're still processing, to the characters themselves and the ramifications this all had for the wider Metal Gear universe, it was a genuinely overwhelmingly powerful scene that could only have been executed so well by Kojima, his team and the actors behind it. Did we miss any out? Which scenes really got to you and opened the floodgates? Let us know in the comments!
