Realising that him and his comrades are soon going be overrun by enemy forces, he forgoes goodbyes for the sake of driving a tanker full of gasoline into the structure you're attempting to defend - taking out the entire opposition in the process. Looking to the sky, with his final words of "Never thought it'd end like this, huh Maria?" and a reprise of Gary Jules' Mad World playing underneath, it was a very touching moment in a game chock-full of blockbuster action.
