10 Video Game Moments That Made You Cry Like A Baby
4. Shadow Of The Colossus - Agro's Fall
We're going with 'fall' and not 'death' as everyone's favourite horse-companion this side of Zelda's Epona does eventually return at the very end of the game. Still, she's one we all formed a solid bond with after journeying across the vast wastelands of the unnamed world to slay the titular Colossi. SotC is one of 'those games' that if you didn't play it when it first came out, resides on your bucket list of titles you'll frequently say something along the lines of "Man, I really need to play that" about. However for the rest of us that did, SotC is often regarded as one of the greatest games of all time, due a huge number of factors from amazing art design to an unmatched sense of scope and weight behind the creatures you were attempting to take down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SclbRYmGG9A#t=86 Eventually though after many miles galloped in a great many different locations, you're taking off towards another enemy and out of nowhere Agro struggles to get footing on an outcrop of collapsing stone, throwing you to safety but plummeting down into the watery depths below. The music cue that accompanies this (honestly, horrifying) moment is just the right kind of heartstring-puller too, even if you'd not spent time just hanging out with your horse in between bosses, it gets across the weight of losing your long-time partner and only company instantly.
