10 Video Game Platformers That Deserve A Remake

8. Sly Cooper 1-3

One of PlayStation's darlings, the Sly Cooper franchise was more well known for the second and third instalment. The games took off when they started to focus more on the heist side of things, rather than the typical platforming. So, in terms of platforming acumen, the first title deserves a lot of credit. Not to mention a remaster.

A lot of the game is simply good-quality platforming that is really well designed. The main let down of the game is in the controls and clunky way that Sly moves, but that is made up for with a few safety nets and mechanics that compensate.

The open worlds of the sequels would also be really good if remastered, and considering PlayStation's desire to reboot Crash and Spyro, they may well return for some lesser known platforming classics. We can only hope!
