10 Video Game Pranks You Wish Were True

While ASUS isn't necessarily known for being a major player in the video games industry, it once provided one of the cruellest pranks in history. MeowVR.

Who doesn't love cats? The fluffy animals are one of nature's finest creations and while people can experience the luxury that is video games, felines cannot. This is the niche market ASUS fooled everything into thinking it was targeting.

Back in 2016, it posted a message to its social media channels outlining how it would be creating a virtual reality experience for cats everywhere. Using MeowVR, kittens would be able to experience their wildest fantasies straight from the comfort of their home.

One example provided was the 'Super Stroking Experience' where cats could sit, blissfully receiving a fuss at their leisure.

Unfortunately, ASUS' hilarious post was no more than a joke. It was probably for the best, though.

There hasn't been many VR trials conducted on animals, much less to the point where a product could be released without causing some serious harm to the lovable felines. Maybe one day MeowVR will become a reality, no pun intended.
