10 Video Game Problems That Piss EVERYONE Off
6. Conversations Lasting Too Long In Open World Games
One of the appeals of the open world game is the ability to move at your own pace. Nobody obeys traffic laws in games like Grand Theft Auto or Cyberpunk 2077. But the game gives you the freedom to do that if you really want (you weirdo.)
But with there being so much to do in open world games, most people want to be able to move from one task to another as efficiently as possible. Usually we aren't following traffic laws because, my God, who wants to take time in a 90-hour game being a responsible driver for no reason?
This is why it's so frustrating when you're used to blustering your way through the streets, but for this mission, you have a passenger dumping a load of critical plots exposition. And if you get to where you're going too fast, that dialogue will cut out. So you either force yourself to drive slowly or you just sit and wait idly for them to stop talking.
Of course, sometimes your passenger is just a blabbering idiot and now you're racing to your destination just so they'll shut up. (Yes, I'm looking right at you, Roman Bellic from Grand Theft Auto 4.)
