10 Video Game Products That Insulted Their Key Audience

2. Pip Boy - Fallout 4

Fallout 4's 'Pip Boy' product is the kind of item you line up for only to use once and never thing of again. It's surely destined for the overflow closet before its re-sale value increases so it can be put on ebay to further add to the games on the shelf.

The pip boy is a vital part of the game it accompanies, as the wrist device is used in game to manage items and access the map, yet the real life item is actually a plastic bracelet where a phone can be inserted to run a dedicated app.

Though its practical uses are interesting, if a little pointless, and its cost is eye-watering, the reason it's insulting is far more subtle.

It's commitment to adhering to the game's setting is apparent, yet on the rear of the case it reads 'fits most human arms', implying that the owner may very well entertain the possibility of strapping it to the family Labrador.

Though the thought is undoubtedly funny, the instruction is just a bit pointless. Perhaps I'm missing the joke, but the need to tell people it is only suitable for humans is daft.
