10 Video Game Remakes That Are FINALLY Happening
1. Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter
A remake of the very first entry into the beloved Trails RPG franchise, 2004's The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, has been on most fans' wishlist for years and years and years.
And a reimagining of the original game, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, was finally announced by developer Nihon Falcom last year.
The developer also flat-out stated that they chose to remake the game to provide an entry point to newcomers, given that Trails in the Sky spawned a dozen other mainline games, as well as numerous spin-off sub-franchises.
Basically, it's a huge pain in the ass for new players to know where to jump in, but this remake of the original game will make it easy for them, with Nihon Falcom hoping that it will revitalise a series that has struggled to grow beyond its cult of existing fans.
Better yet, after so long waiting for the remake announcement, the game itself will actually be here in short order, with a tentative late 2025 released date currently pencilled in.
