10 Video Game Remakes That Are FINALLY Happening
These long-awaited remakes are FINALLY coming soon.

It's a common complaint among gamers these days that there are far too many remakes and remasters being released, that publishers are wasting precious developer resources on rehashing past glories rather than giving us exciting new experiences.
But the flip side of this argument, of course, is that remakes in particular allow new generations of players to experience games they might've been walled off from, either due to them being trapped on aged hardware or simply too mechanically dated for modern audiences to stomach.
And at least where these 10 video games are concerned, fans have been clamouring for remakes for a long, long time.
Some were mere feats of wishful thinking on the part of fans, while other remakes were actually announced, formally or more casually, by publishers many, many years ago.
But now the time is finally almost nigh - these whispered-about remakes are imminently nearing completion and will be releasing to the world in short order.
After so much waiting, and so much anticipation for these iconic, beloved games to get brought up to modern technical standards, it's finally happening...
10. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4

Activision's remake collection of the first two Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games was a mighty critical and commercial success in 2020, and though developer Vicarious Visions swiftly confirmed plans to also remake the third and fourth games in this series, this swiftly hit a brick wall in 2022.
After the company was fully merged into Blizzard Entertainment that year, they were shifted to work exclusively on Blizzard titles, casting serious doubt on the remake ever come to fruition.
Word went quiet on the project for the next two years, until remakes of THPS3 and 4 were teased in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and rumours then began to swirl in late 2024 that a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 announcement was imminent.
And at the start of March, the next entry in the legendary skating series' remake collection was indeed finally confirmed to be in the works from Iron Galaxy, with a release date set for July 11 of this year.
It shouldn't have taken so long for the next batch of remakes to reach fans, but it sure looks fantastic from what we've seen so far, and better yet, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play it day one without dropping an extra penny.
