Tomb Raider’s 2013 reboot was a critical and commercial success upon release, going on to gain two sequels.

And while these are certainly great games, nothing compares to the original.

The atmosphere and level design of that first game was unparalleled for its time and deserves to be revisited. It did get a remake in the 2007’s Anniversary, which was undoubtedly a great game, but the genre has made leaps and bounds since then. Combining the story, environments and plot of the original, with the newer trilogys mechanics could make for something truly special. We have seen the origin of Lara, now let us see her in full Tomb Raider action.

The Tomb Raider franchise has gone in a multitude of different directions since the original, some more questionable than others. With the most recent entry, Shadow of The Tomb Raider, being the weakest in the trilogy, it would make sense to return to arguably the best game in the entire series.

Basically, all we really want is a T-Rex boss battle with Lara’s new bow. Is that too much to ask for?
