1. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
If you had a look at the Metacritic scores of all the Metal Gear Solid games, you'll notice that almost all of them are loved by every gamer out there. With every main entry of the series essentially perfect already (on paper anyway), how on earth do you improve on perfection? Well, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection finds a way. In what feels like a massive thank you gift to every MGS fan, Konami decided to have every single mainline game (other than the original Metal Gear Solid) packaged into a neat and updated collection. Taking the old mantra of 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' to heart, the collection leaves all the stunning gameplay of each title virtually untouched, whilst fixing up all the little blemishes such as control issues and bugs. Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and Peace Walker all received a HD overhaul, so each game now looks almost as good as it plays. As an extra bonus, the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 were remade and added to the compilation, and certain versions came with a download code to redeem against the PS1 Metal Gear Solid, as it exists on the PS3 Store. You've probably done it before, but now you can do it all over again in glorious HD as you immerse yourself into a video game series where the universe is still certifiably insane, the story is more convoluted than an Apple terms & conditions agreement, and the attention to detail is still so paramount that even virtual ice cubes will melt realistically.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
