10 Video Game Rewards Not Worth Unlocking

God of War's Leviathan Axe is one of the most satisfying video game weapons in recent memory. You throw it at some enemies and it slices them up, before flying back to your palm with a powerful whoosh. We're getting all tingly just talking about it.

Even better, the axe can be upgraded and improved with a variety of runic attacks and pommels, allowing you to customise your build depending on the challenge at hand.

One of these pommels is called Retribution. Equip it, and the throw and recall functions of the axe are buffed, with the weapon now able to fly in a straight line, with zero falloff, for absolutely ages.

It's a neat little bonus, but the thing is, you only unlock this pommel after defeating Sigrun, Queen of the Valkyries, a task which - for the vast majority of players - will be the last thing they do in the game, because it's easily the hardest fight the experience has to offer. You'll die many times, and it can take weeks of practice to overcome.

So, basically, you beat the game's hardest challenge, only to be rewarded with something that - by beating said challenge - you've just proven you don't need. And again, since Sigrun will likely be the last thing you do, you won't even have any game left to play, meaning that the pommel's abilities are mostly wasted.

We haven't even mentioned that you need to defeat all the other Valkyries - gruelling battles in their own right - just to even reach Sigrun. If you're only doing this fight for the rewards, it sure as hell ain't worth the trouble.
