6. Grim Reaper - Way Of The Samurai 3
Way of the Samurai 3 is the third instalment in Acquire's action RPG franchise, set in feudal Japan. There are 22 possible endings, including a secret one, but for the most optimal experience, you should probably just skip it and stick to the other 21.
The secret ending, appropriately named "Grim Reaper," can only be discovered after you kill every single NPC in the game.
Since the gameplay of Way of the Samurai is all about mowing down rows of enemies, this shouldn't sound all that bad, but there is a catch to this ordeal that makes it an absolute nightmare.
You see, some NPCs can only spawn after you talk with another NPC first, so you have to pay attention to who you kill and when you kill them. There is no quick way to do this without a guide, and even using one won't spare you from reloading the game after you accidentally kill a character you were supposed to leave for later.
Your reward for all of this struggle is 30 seconds of scrolling text over a still image talking about your rampage becoming the stuff of legends.
