2022's Supermassive game, The Quarry, was a mixed bag of hilariously cheesy writing and some decently staged horror sequences. One of the biggest criticisms the game received was for its poorly executed ending: An unskippable, 30-minute podcast in which two "paranormal experts" were too busy cracking jokes to summarize the story.

If this doesn't sound like the most disappointing finale already, wait until you hear the secret ending cutscene you could unlock for Jacob and Emma.

It wasn't as terrible as the actual ending to the game, but its payoff was so minimal, given how much you had to work for it, that you almost wished it could have been summarized by an aspiring podcaster.

To trigger the cutscene, you had to follow a step-by-step guide on which QTEs to succeed at and which to fail. After that, Jacob would come clean to Emma about being responsible for trapping everyone in the camp. It sounds interesting, but Emma's reaction to the big reveal is so nonchalant that it ruins the purpose of having this conversation in the first place.

Come on, girl! That guy is the reason you were chased by werewolves all night! At least get a little angry.
