9. Pre-Order Items - Fallout: New Vegas

Although it's not an exact science, chances are if you get items with a pre-order game at least one of them is going to be incredibly useful. That's sort of the point on an in-game pre-order bonus; something that either saves you grief, or makes you feel just a little cool as a reward.

In Fallout: New Vegas, this is half true, because you get some decent stuff from the get go; armour, extra super stimpaks, and some decent weapons.

However, these items came with some issues, because it was officially considered DLC. This wouldn't have seemed a big deal, but New Vegas wasn't made to let DLC interact with one another, meaning your armour and weapons couldn't be affected by any perks related to DLC.

While this isn't the end of the world, it's also not something that's clear until you realise it for yourself, at which point you're kind of annoyed that this wasn't sneakily mentioned to you at some point.
