10 Video Game Secrets You Were Better Off Not Finding

The 2002 Shinobi is a game that you're unlikely to be able to race through unless you're an experienced pro. It's not impossible by any means, just the combo feature requires you to learn the nuance of the game in order to avoid getting your ass handed to you.

Only, there is a way you can play the game with a slightly easier mechanic: by unlocking Joe Musashi. The original protagonist of the series, Joe is an hidden playable character, who comes with the very useful ability to spam shurikens at your enemies.

The issue with this is how you unlock the original Shinobi, because - as a secret reward - Joe can only be played after you get forty Oboro Clan Coins.

And said coins aren't exactly abundant, meaning you'll have to more or less finish the game (and finish some stages on hard) in order to unlock Musashi. At which point his "easier shurikens" aren't all that helpful, because at this point you've had to adapt, survive and overcome anyways.

He does look cool though, so it's not an entire loss, really.
