10 Video Game Sequels That Look WORSE Than What Came Before

7. Assassin's Creed: Unity

2013's return of a Kenway character in AC IV: Black Flag had been nominated for at least 3 graphics awards, including 'Best Technical Graphics'. Largely regarded as one of the best in the series and a marked improvement over AC III, it set a new bar for Ubisoft to maintain or surpass.

And with the eighth major installment of the franchise, Unity, they absolutely did not even look at the bar - much less get anywhere near it. Imagine what it would look like if a pole vaulter showed up to the Olympics without his pole, or even his shoes, or even his face for that matter.

Released to scathing reviews, not only for the troubling lack of female characters (especially since the most famous assassin in the setting of the game was historically a woman), the repetitive gameplay, lackluster plotline, and poor enemy AI.

Even with all that going wrong for it what Unity is most widely known for is the missing faces, poor framerate, and horrible slew of visual glitches. In the years since Ubisoft has worked to patch most of these bugs out, but it will still forever be known, as PC World stated as, "a new low for the Assassin's Creed series."
