With Ratchet & Clank finally having made their way to the latest generation of PlayStation hardware, all that's left is for Jak & Daxter to join them. Jak 3, the series' last proper entry, was an absolute triumph at its time and the series has been mysteriously unloved ever since.

Well, that needs to change. Boasting one of the best protagonist double acts in gaming history and with all manner of wonderfully realised gameplay facets, the Jak & Daxter series has always had something for everyone. It's richly rewarding worlds are a joy for anybody, and the mix of third person shooting and frantic combat satiates the real warrior inside all of us.

The PSP port of The Lost Frontier was never a full continuation of the dynamic duo's adventures, and we're still waiting for Jak & Daxter 4. Taking the frenzied action to new lands made even more artistic thanks to the powers of this new console generation would be a pure, unadulterated thrill - the kind of which there are currently so few in modern gaming...
