2016's I Expect You to Die remains one of the most impressively executed VR games of all time - a deliciously tongue-in-cheek, James Bond-inspired puzzle game in which players must complete a series of tasks in order to escape a host of deadly scenarios. A VR escape room simulator, basically.

The game ended up generating $6 million in revenue across VR platforms, such that developers Schell Games just recently announced the amusingly-titled follow-up, I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar.

The little we know so far suggests the sequel is basically offering up more of the same, but when it ain't broke, why fix it?

As much as VR development during the middle of a pandemic must be especially challenging, the confident announcement trailer seems to indicate that a 2021 drop is basically set in stone.
