10 Video Game Side Quests So Good You Ignored The Story

Since this is Borderlands, you're likely thinking that this is going to be a bit more lighthearted than the last entry. Well, if you look on the surface, yeah. But just underneath it is perhaps an even sadder tale.

Tiny Tina is one of the most popular characters in Borderlands, and why wouldn't she be? She's hilarious, practically speaks her own language most of the time, seems to be caught up in her own fantasy world, but as you get to know her, you find she's a lot more grounded than you think. All of which is shown in the climax of your initial interactions with her, a quest called Cordially Invited.

Tina is throwing a tea party, and she needs you to gather all the necessary guests of honor, including one particular raider that she says is the VIP. So, after luring the guy to Tina's house, she abducts him while saying by far the best line in the game: "You're cordially invited, B*TCH!"

Then we learn what this is all really about, as Tina's tea party turns out to be a pink and frilly ELECTRIC CHAIR, which she uses to torture the raider to death. And why? Well, if you read between the lines of Tina's broken mad ramblings and the pained screams of the raider, you quickly find out: he sold out her mother and father to Handsome Jack, and he had them brutally murdered. And it's payback time.
