10 Video Game Side Quests So Good You Ignored The Story

6. Assassination Missions - GTA V

The amount of content that was initially in GTA V when it first came out, combined with the stuff poured into it in the seven years since, is denser than a dying star. There is so much to do it's honestly kind of intimidating, and you will get bored with the game and put it down LONG before you're even halfway done with all of it. But if I had to pick one side quest from its NIGHTMARISHLY long list that I - and most other players - often chose to play over the story mode, it would be Lester's assassination missions.

Being more of an unknown element than Michael but more level headed and easier to control than Trevor, Lester recruits Franklin to hunt down various corrupt businessmen and financial moguls to level the moral playing field while netting a pretty profit for both of them.

The missions vary wildly in complexity and difficulty, but they're all insanely fun to play, from hunting down bribed jurors before a court hearing that same day, to working your way through an entire high rise under construction to cap the architect and then parachuting off the side to the city below (you don't HAVE to do that last one, but you should).
