10 Video Game Stories That Didn't Need To Happen

3. Dying Light: The Following DLC

The main point of a DLC, especially for story driven games like Dying Light, is to expand upon the already existing story and introduce a bunch of new content. The Following DLC is no exception, however it does include one massive twist.

The main story of The Following is centred around Kyle Crane trying to help a religious cult Develop a cure for the zombie infection that has taken over the world. With the introduction of cars, new weapons and a map twice the size of the previous maps of the game, it certainly looks like gamers are due to get some bang for their buck... in more ways than one.

Turns out if you have a look around the new maps highway, you can find a nuclear bomb hidden within a military truck. What’s more is that you can detonate it if you find the transport key, the activation card and the nuclear codes hidden around the map.

So I guess if the plans to find a cure to the zombie virus don’t work out, there’s always a plan B.
