10 Video Game Trophies That Cost You A Platinum

2. Ghost of a Chance - Resident Evil

The Resident Evil games for the most part have actually had rather reasonable trophy lists. The might be hard and even require multiple runs, but Capcom is normally decent enough to leave a few tools to help Trophy Hunters along the way. But this wasn’t the case back in 2015 when the remastered Remake of Resident Evil got its list.

More of a time sink rather than being super difficult, The Resident Evil Remake on PlayStation 3 and 4 will require a good 30 plus hours to beat. The real kicker here is the 6 playthroughs required to do so. All whilst achieving different feats as both characters. Then add a few difficulty focused ones in for good measure and that’s a list, right?

You could argue that a Knife Only run is harder, but this has been something devoted Resident Evil players have been achieving years before trophies were even a thing.

Well not really as there is one tortuous trophy here that is nothing short of a real pain in the arse. Ghost of a Chance takes the standard slow shambling enemies of the game and turns them all invisible to the naked eye. And yes, even some of the bosses. Zombies can be seen via handily placed mirrors and will become visible once they are on Chris or Jill, but that doesn’t last long at all.
