10 Video Game TV Shows HBO Should Make After The Last Of Us

4. Heavy Rain

Red Dead Redemption
Quantic Dream

And just like that, this list has another detective story. But Heavy Rain isn't just a typical mystery thriller. Through the use of multiple perspectives and the adaptable narrative where any protagonist could die, it is a special kind of thrill ride. One moment, you're a desperate father trying to find his missing child, but then you shift to a police officer hunting down a killer at large.

The game has received its fair share of ribbing due to its voice acting sounding a touch off (JAYYY-SON) and the overall lack of gameplay, despite it selling at full price. However, the core of the game is rock-solid and would make an immensely-smooth transition to live-action.

Through the set of multiple interconnected storylines, the audience would never feel complacent or be 'stuck' with a particular character for too long. This way, no protagonist is left undeveloped, and the audience never feels like they're missing out on any intrigue.

Better yet, you could bring in the star power necessary to really sell this project, especially with HBO's branding attached. Set in a world where very few are to be trusted (and even fewer relied on), Heavy Rain is a pitch-perfect fit for HBO's next big drama series.
