10 Video Game Villain Plot Holes EVERYONE Missed

Dying in the Borderlands series isn't a big deal, since the world of Pandora is filled with resurrection terminals called New-U Stations. Anyone who's stored their DNA into the units' database will respawn moments after their death (for a small fee, of course). This is an interesting feature, since the story acknowledges every single time the main character dies.

Unfortunately, the New-U Stations also create a humungous plot hole: why isn't everyone using these digistruct terminals? Better still, why doesn't the primary villain, Handsome Jack, utilise these death-defying gizmos? Considering he's in charge of the New-U Stations, it makes no sense why he didn't take five minutes out of his day to ensure he could cheat death.

Annoyingly, this inconsistency could've been easily remedied with a single throwaway line. Jack's DNA could've been corrupted after being exposed to to The Vault, making it impossible for him to back up his consciousness. Alternatively, the Vault Hunters could've created a firewall in the New-U that blocked Jack's genes.

But since no such explanation has ever been given, this plot hole has remained for over a decade.
