10 Video Game Villains Created Out Of Spite

In Super Paper Mario's third chapter, you'll encounter the boss character Francis, a video game-obsessed chameleon who is basically an avatar of every nerdy gamer stereotype possible.

Francis freaks out over a "hot babe", Peach, entering his room, tries to win her over with excess flattery, and then suggests they get married within mere minutes of meeting.

To call these interactions red flags would be an understatement, but beyond his social awkwardness and unhealthy love of anime, what makes him a spiteful creation is the fact he also admits to visiting message boards and criticising video games he hasn't even played.

It's certainly easy to appreciate any developer taking aim at such toxic members of the gaming community, Francis serving as a literal punching bag for an industry full of frustrated artists and programmers.
