Nadine Ross was introduced in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End as the game's secondary antagonist, a ruthless mercenary working for Uncharted 4's main villain, Rafe Adler.

Nadine proves herself to be tirelessly committed to her task and an extremely adept physical specimen, even holding her own against both Nate and his brother Sam at the same time.

Hell, Nadine is scrappy enough to turn on Rafe when the chips are down, escaping from Libertalia with some of Rafe's gold at the end of the game, leaving him to be killed in a final battle with Nate.

But Nadine resurfaces in the spin-off sequel Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, teaming up with player character Chloe Frazer after having her riches stolen.

Nadine subsequently renounces her former mercenary outfit Shoreline, and the nature of her character is quite blatantly softened to be more "charming" over the course of the game, even if she still retains her thoroughly badass sensibilities in the action stakes.

Nadine and Chloe's "womance" further helps complete Nadine's face turn, with the ending implying that they're going into business as a permanent team-up.
