10 Video Game Villains We WANTED To Win

9. Darth Traya - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II sees the player mentored by the shadowy Jedi known as Kreia, but later in the game it's revealed that she's actually the ultimate antagonist, a secret Sith Lord known as Darth Traya.

And honestly, it's tough to argue that much with Traya's ideology. She explains to the player that she desires to annihilate the Force to end the relentless death and suffering which stems from the war between the Jedi and Sith, and also to restore pure free will to the galaxy.

The sheer extent of the Jedi/Sith conflict throughout the Star Wars franchise bolsters her claim pretty decisively, and so had Traya managed to succeed in her plan, she would've unquestionably saved a ton of lives.

She's not perfect, of course: she kills a lot of people throughout the game and battles the player at the end, but even in death it's clear that her motivations were for the betterment of the galaxy rather than sheer self-interest.
