10 Video Game Villains Who Had The Right Idea (But Terrible Execution)

2. Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2

There's no denying that Handsome Jack from the Borderlands series is an irredimble monster. Some people might argue in his favor because of his charms and fun personality, but between turning his own daughter into a human computer and trying to awaken a Godzilla-like bioweapon to terrorize Pandora, he is clearly the villain of the game.

This said, if you were to defend Jack, there is a point to be made about his intentions. After all, although he is a highly narcissistic psychopath, Jack's true goal is to be the "hero."In fact, he already sees himself as the "hero."

In Jack's eyes, all of his plans and evil schemes are meant to rid Pandora of criminals, which, let's be honest, there are a lot of, and bring some order to an otherwise chaotic and highly dangerous planet.

His methods are detestable, but at the same time, you can't say he's lying about his plans for Pandora, as after he takes over Hyperion in the prequel, he does bring order to its operations by stopping the Claptrap rebellion and enhancing its Eridium profits.

If he wasn't such a callous narcissist, his heroic aspirations and skills could probably make Pandora a better place.
